About Us

To live independently is a daily challenge for more and more elderly and disabled individuals. Many struggle with medical conditions which contribute to memory loss, loneliness and depression. Some of these elderly have no family or friends. Even those supported by loved ones often need more daily attention than caregivers can provide.

Many elderly and disabled have difficulty remembering which medications to take and when to
take them. Even simple but critical tasks, such as locking doors and turning off stoves, may be forgotten.

For more than a decade, House Calls has been assisting the elderly and disabled through specialized programs that provide daily reminders, assurance and care.

House Calls, through the use of computerized and personal telephone messages, serves the needs of many. Clients receive reminder calls, uplifting notes and thoughtful gifts on a monthly, weekly and even daily basis.

Founded in 1996 by Shelly Egbert, House Calls is funded through grants and donations. These funds make it possible to offer critical services free of charge to those who need it most.
